Optical Transfer System

For Systems Requiring Provable Isolation

Often a system or network will be established to process extremely sensitive data in a highly controlled manner. In such a case it is imperative to completely eliminate the possibility of data loss while still allowing (limited) communication.

Consider an organization that processes both public and private/sensitive data. While it is possible to impose administrative and network controls in order to functionally seperate these networks, it is still possible for sensitive data to be spilled onto the public network

What is needed is a system that makes it physically impossible for data to be transmitted from the sensitive system to the public network, while still allowing data transfers to occur to the sensitive network (software upgrades, or operating system patches for example)

This type of product is known as an Assurance Guard and is typically used in Government organizations to isolate classified computers from unlcassified networks. They often cost in excess of $100,000 and require careful administration. I have developed a much simpler but equally effective Assurance Guard that can be installed and customized to perform automated file transfers from the public to the sensitive network.
